    Effective user support is best achieved through enhancing users' IT proficiency through regular user training, easy to understand on-line manual and user-friendly helpdesk service, making users more capable and knowledgeable in IT so that they will be able to help themselves.
Nevertheless, ITServ will
  • provide user-friendliness helpdesk service to help users to get started or introducing users on how to use new facilities supported by ITServ.
  • develop a strong sense of partnerships with the user community with a bulletin board for users to express opinions and provide suggestions.
  • provide recommendations for users to external hardware repair or service centers.
  • develop user support web-based manuals.
  • create an active IT environment by encouraging computer repair shops as well as Internet caf? be set up on campus; provide consultation to the AIT administration and academic schools on their IT needs and provide advice on the potential of IT to meet those needs.
  • support initiatives, in association with academic staff, in the areas of research and teaching. conduct regular user satisfaction surveys.
