How
to connect:
• Make
a new connection from the Control Panel
| Network Connections | Create a new connection.
New connection wizard window appear. Select Connect
to the network at my workplace as
shown below. Click Next.
• Select Virtual
Private Network connection as shown
below. Click Next.
• Specify
a name for this connection. Click Next.
• Select Do
not dial the initial connection as
shown below. Click Next.
• Type vpn01.ait.ac.th in
the box below as your host name. Click Next.
• Tick
the box if you want to add a shortcut to your
desktop as shown below, otherwise leave it
as it is. Click Finish.
How to
configure VPN connection:
• Open VPN
connection. Click Properties | Security tab.
Select Advanced (custom settings) and
click Settings as shown below.
• From
the drop down menu (Data encryption), select Optional
encryption (connect even if no encryption). In
the list of protocols, tick Unencrypted
password (PAP) as shown below. Click
OK. Ignore the warning about encryption being
disabled if PAP is used.
• In the Networking tab,
do NOT check NetBEUI if you
have it, else you will get a warning when connecting.
• Log-in
using your username and password same
as email as shown below. Click Connect.
